Vegan Museum Exhibit
From May 1 to June 30, Sulzer Regional Library partners with the National Vegan Museum to present its traveling exhibit. The exhibit consists of 12 large panels, which guide the viewer through (vegan!) bite-sized pieces of information about vegan history, across time and culture. You can find this exhibit on the second floor of Sulzer Regional Library.
Family Programs
Your Children’s Librarians are planning for a very exciting and busy summer! We are on a programming break the month of May and will be back with programming for all ages in June! Please look forward to celebrating CPL’s 150th birthday with us June 10 with a very special performance by Cielito Lindo.
Zena Sutherland Lecture: Zetta Elliot

On May 5, the Zena Sutherland lecture returns as an in-person event! The Sutherland Lecture honors the late Zena Sutherland, Professor Emeritus and retired editor of the "Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books." This special annual event is intended for teachers, educators, librarians and other interested adults and is co-sponsored by Chicago Public Library, the Zena Sutherland Lecture Committee and the University of Chicago. Dungeons & Dragons for Adults: The Black Hack Campaign

Are you an adult interested in tabletop roleplaying games like Dungeons & Dragons? Come give it a try at the Sulzer Regional Library! No experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided. Turn Your Vision Into Reality: Make a Mood Board
Monday, May 15 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM
A mood board is also called an inspiration board or vision board, it is a tool to help you hone your visual ideas at the start of a creative project. It’s a simple way to gather a variety of things, such as photos out of a magazine, illustrations, put color palettes together or use inspiring words in a collage to create a happy feeling for you. Join this workshop to meet likeminded people who enjoy sharing a space to create inspiring boards and to share ideas as well. A large white board and additional supplies will be provided for you. Forward Chicago is hosting workshops called Repair Cafe every 2nd Saturday of the month in the community room. In this workshop, they can repair jewelry, sew clothes, and repair general stuff too depending on the item.

Even if you’ve never crafted before, you can make this wall hanging. You’ll be tying yarn and all that’s required is patience.
